Washing blueberries, or any soft fruit

in Fruit & veg
Rinse once under a tap, or dip them in water/vinegar solution… How do you do it?
I’ve just taken my last punnet of blueberries, helped out all the spiders that I could find, then raised the blueberries in the punnet under the tap - apparently this can squash soft fruit - but I don’t think they’re really clean. Especially with the moth caterpillars and spiders all over them these last few weeks
…Is there another way?

Expect a very stained tea towel though

I don't bother either. I'm sure I've eaten a lot worse than the odd midge or caterpillar. The tins of sausages and baked beans my mum used to feed us in the 70s, is one that springs to mind

I used to love them

We debated this on another thread recently and it was good fun.
Me and my sis used to have them for our school lunches - in a flask. The other culinary delight was the Vesta beef curry....

I'd forgotten that too. A pack of dried 'stuff' and a pack of rice.
The tiny cubes of dried 'beef' that didn't really taste of meat at all - delicious! - at the time

A joyous invention - never matched - or bettered

I remember the Chow Mein too, but I don't think I was that keen - can't think why 🤣
Thanks goodness my tastes have changed!
