If you live in the UK and don't have a garden compost waste bin, there are bags you can buy made of paper for like £1.25 each.  If you fill it up and leave it near your recycling bins the council picks it up.  Enter your postcode on the page linked below and it will give you all the information you need.

In some councils you don't have to pay even that for the service.  The council provides a free compostable waste bin which you can order for free online, like here.

It is too much to hire someone at £20 an hour for this.  There is so much you can buy in actual plants with that money. Do a little bit at a time yourself - a small patch every fortnight or so.  It is such a healthy and enjoyable thing to do -- healthy for your body and mind.

Get a neighbour or friend to have a look.

The lawn just need a cut.  At least to start.  The patio needs a good weedkill.  The rest is just tidying to taste.
    Thankyou.

What you have done so far is great, Bede.  Please don't use weedkill or other herbicides.  It kills bees, butterflies, moths and other essential insects and are bad for human health too.

The new weed killers don't contain Glyphosate now, so are fine to use, and don't affect pollinators  @amandabretnall42cPYbXutD :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
