What did this to my London Pride!!!

    I would make a dome of chicken wire over it to protect what’s left.  We have to do that with bulbs in pots. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Yes - that's probably the best solution @Lyn.
    It's almost an invasive round here, but very useful for awkward places where many plants would struggle.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • I was trying to grow some to see if I could get it to grow in my clay soil,  as its supposed to like acidic soil, planning to split and pot some up and plant out the rest. It is a plant in danger of becoming rare as only gardens have it now as growers have stopped producing it. It is also a link to the past as in our yard it was the only thing to grow in a brick trough, so is a reminder of my childhood.

    It grows here in clay - damp or dry shade, or sun. 
    If you're stuck, I could probably send you some   :)
