What did this to my London Pride!!!

Out to water this morning and came across a scene of carnage!

Not only were they dug up, but 90% of them look to have been eaten!

    BTW the green bits in the tub are what I have tried to replant, they have stems but no roots, so I am hoping they will take.😭

    Could be I suppose @Lyn ,but I haven't seen a squirrel in my garden for 3 years. Did see one across the road in an Ash tree last month. Would they dig up and take it away?

    Blackbirds do this to my Sempervivums looking for vine weevil grubs, so they could do the same to your Saxifrage.

    Yes @Palustris I too have had to re plant many things after blackbirds have had a dig around, but in that case there are plants all on the ground, in this case they are GONE! That tub was full of plants, overflowing with them, now it's just twigs left.😭

    It'll recover quickly enough though. It's difficult stuff to kill  ;)

    Only if there are any roots left @Fairygirl, as those bits of green have none.

    True - but if you even have some small plants left, they should grow well enough for dividing next year. 
    Assuming they don't get annihilated too  ;)
