I wish I could post a huge list. One more rose order and my OH will make me leave the house
Hopefully one day will have a rose garden of my own..
Will be waiting for everyone's list..
@Eustace JDP is lovely, but some comments from various forums mentioned that it fails eventually for some reason.. hope someone here who has grown it could shed some info..
@Marlorena both your picks are single.. my pick of the two was st nicholas for obvious reasons... a Damask/ hybrid.. will see how it repeats as they have mentioned it as repeat flowering.. how did you find the scent as?

I think lots of people in here are in similar situations. My OH wants to have fruit trees and has planted them all around the borders. I like flowers. So it is a compromise; I grow my roses in pots.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
..these are the green metal stakes I use, about 1 metre tall, useful for staking short but upright roses..
..this is 'The Anniversary Rose'.. the scent is superb, and I love the colour... I nearly lost it in Spring - cultivation issues - so it's taken time to recover in greenhouse.. it's been flowering on and off for many weeks... a derivative of an Austin, and the foliage is very similar to English Roses.. due for a large pot next Spring in a 'looked at' location.
I got the same green canes, went for 6ft and hammered in 0.5- 1ft with a mallet for stability. Going to order some more in various sizes. My hybrid teas have shot up and too early to prune as buds on so nice insurance against high winds! Ive got Syrie as a shrub too and its remarkably strong and self supporting, but I like the reassurance of stakes.

@Omori, very nice list. Looking forward to seeing all photos next year.
I had La Rose de Molinard in my wishlist last year but only reason I didn't get it was reading about its bloom getting spoiled in rain. May be you can give it a second thought.

@cooldoc
.. I can't remember the scent, I've only seen it once and failed to make a mental note of that.. but it really caught my eye..
My OH goes mental when I chuck roses out.. he says something like ''what you go buying all these roses for !!''
