Dicsonia Antarctica large off shoot propagation

I have a large independently rooted Dicsonia Antarctica Tree Fern off shoot. I have transplanted it in the ground. It seems like a large branch and doesn’t have a heart/ centre like a larger specimen. It is about two metres tall. Does it need pruning? Is it a waiting game for it to develop into a more recognisable / adult…

I think acacia can be coppiced ... that might be an option if you want to try to keep these freebies
