    We sow our Broad beans at the end of October … we’re usually picking in May  here in Norfolk. I sow the variety Aquadulce ‘Claudia’ which is a very hardy variety and it copes with our winters … even a couple of feet of snow … without the need for any protection. The beans are well-flavoured too. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.





  • Mine have been in for just over a week, mix of par choi, lettuce, white radish.
