I can't find out that this is true, @Nanny Beach@pr1mr0se though it's certainly not advisable to flush cat or dog poo down the loo.
This is because the waste treatment systems aren't geared up to neutralising toxocara canis, and toxoplasmosis has now been found to have infected marine mammals including otters.
However, though Anglian Water and a few others say you shouldn't flush animal poo for this reason, it's not actually illegal.
