Willowherbs don't go away

In one of my recently planted borders I keep getting willowherb on a permanent basis. I have been pulling them for two or three months already and try to be as quick as possible so they don't flower or set seed, but they just keep coming.. can I win this battle by just pulling them this year, hoping next year will be fine?

    I expect they are seeding from elsewhere nearby. All you can do is keep pulling them up. Try find out if there are any more nearby and if they’re growing wild maybe pull them too

    On a good day they blow through the garden like snow here.

    If they are growing wild then they are wildflowers and you would be breaking the law if you pulled them up.

    I dont remember them being here last year so let's see. Will try pulling mine out as much as I can..

     Terrible stuff.  My main nemesis at the last house. Rural/semi rural locations are a nightmare. When you realise how many seeds one plant can produce, you can see why it's such a prime invader  :D
    It will seed from everywhere else, but it's also perennial, and they look slightly different. You'll have to learn to ID those ones too @Dedekind .  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
