@Obelixx   I can send you some seeds for next year,  if you like.

    @Bédé   What?!!  Serious?  Here?  Ha!

I am not sure that anyone would want you @bede
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

    S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
  • I googled Garderners' Forums.

They all looked like poor design, young girl over-elaboratiion and garish colours like a young girl's comic.  One has to start somewhere, so started with GW.  I think I made a mistake, any suggestions for something more serious.
I didn't really understand most of that post (is English not your first language?) and I don't know about 'more serious' but if you want to try another forum:

Gardeners Corner - The Friendly Gardening Forum

There are more but this the only other I've joined ... it's actually quite good.

@Chris-P-Bacon    Bédé is the French word for B.D. which means Bande Dessiné - i.e. a comic strip

So @bede … you were looking for something more along the lines of the Beano or the Dandy eh?

Something that doesn’t look at all feminine?

How to insult 49.6% of the world’s population without even trying eh?

And you wonder why you’re finding it hard to make friends on here …. 😭

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I sort of guessed as much... I did German at school - far easier.
Although, the first mini holiday I took my now wife on was to Paris (without a word of French)... I struggled. Berlin was the other option!!... a city I still haven't visited.

Stripped of comedy would be more apt.

I definitely smell a rat (or troll).

    Caricature-esque.

It takes all sorts I guess.

Not quite sure what you are after but if it is straight, no nonsense plant/gardening info/advice, your best bet would be Garden/Plant encyclopaedias.  There are numerous ones covering just about every aspect of gardening. Some good ones are quite old but useful nevertheless.
The other alternative is to use the internet for specific advice which you can then decide whether or not it is relevant.
Numerous Garden Forums - Gardeners Corner is a popular one I believe tho I found it more difficult to navigate than this site.
Best of luck finding a site which suits you and your requirements.

    'like a young girl's comic'
    Wow.  :D
That beggars belief TBH. [to be honest...]

WUM/Troll behaviour. The spelling's too good to be our old 'friend' from Birmingham though  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I was laid into just after I joined. I can’t remember who it was but they disappeared shortly after one of my ranty retorts.

Is this to whom you’re referring perhaps?

I did wonder if it could be the same person
