Gift idea for 90 year old veg grower!

Morning everyone.  My dear old dad is 90 on 20th August and I’m struggling for gift ideas.

He’s still fairly active and he absolutely loves his garden.  He loves flowers but they’re really Mum’s thing.  Dad’s big love is the vegetable garden.

Does anyone have any ideas for a birthday gift?  It’s so difficult as he obviously has everything he needs.  He wouldn’t want tickets for a garden visit or anything like that but any other suggestions would be most welcome.  Dad is very down to earth and not at all interested in expensive things.  

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

     Some of the big seed companies do Lovely tins with veg seeds.seedstosow and Marie curie do them. Bless your dad and may he have many more years gardening

    Thank you Nanny, what a lovely post.  I’ve had a look on the seeds to sow website and there’s a lot of lovely things on there including an allotment seed box collection which I will be purchasing.  He’s a very special dad 😌 x

    Wonky, that’s beautiful.  My only worry is that I’ve left it a bit late to get one made but I love the idea.  I’ll have a look online, see if there are trugs ready made.  Won’t be as beautiful as your one though 😕. Thank you

    @Nanny Beach @WonkyWomble. Thank you both so much.  I’ve looked on Etsy and the only problem is choosing one!  They’re all so lovely.  I think I’ve seen yours Nanny in the market place section in gardeners world magazine?  I think a trug and the seed collection will be perfect.  Thank you 😊

    What a kind face! You are blessed to have him as a father and seeing how much you adore him,  he's blessed too! So glad we could find something fitting for him.  Hope he has a lovely day,  let us know how it goes! Best wishes to you both x
