It was (potentially) a fantastic crop @Biglad ... the best ever ... Sungold, San Marzano and Red Cherry ... a whole row of 20 plants ... we're crying into our coffee ...... you'll all have to be very nice to me today or I might cry some more ... on the bright side ... the squashes are rampant and heading in the direction of the tomato bed ... it'll give them room to spread ......
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I agree with @fidgetbones - I wouldn't want any of that in my compost bin This is when I'm glad we really can't grow outside, even though it is still possible to get blight in a greenhouse.
@Dovefromabove- I won't post the pic I took earlier, of our haul yesterday from my 4 plants...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Not good here also, here are some of the tiny ones I've picked today. Gardener's delight is the worst affected. I would like to know from your experiences the blight resistant varieties out there. Tiny Tim seems to be resistant as those plants are still looking good. I've moved them to the front garden.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
I've grown Crimson Crush in the past ... they're supposed to be blight resistant and we certainly escaped attack in those years. The flavour's ok ... not great but I've tasted worse.

I'm not sure which variety it was as we had lots in together but this little one survived amongst thee blighted ones. I didn't want to take the risk so unfortunately it's going to the tip with the others and half the soil
