    Mine would simply become an Ash copse, as has happened to untended ground on the other side of the fence.  These grew by themselves behind the rear garden fences of all properties along the street:
    ..
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Hi @BobTheGardener; wow, that's quite a tree!  I bet it supports lots of wildlife?  :)  
  • @Fairygirl...yep, you're right.  Our garden just won't support that size of tree.  Still, it's better that I take it out within the next couple of days whilst it's still relatively small.  I shall still be sad about it though!  Thank you for your help.  :)
  • Hi @B3...yes, I'd be exactly the same.  It's alright for the squirrels, they haven't got boundaries and neighbours to consider when they unwittingly 'plant' these trees!!!! :)
