Lost the secateurs in the beard?

Are you calling me a Twit?

Certainly not the type of Twit who would turn all those birds into a lovely pie o:)

“By sticking out his tongue and curling it sideways to explore the hairy jungle around his mouth, he was always able to find a tasty morsel here and there to nibble on.”

Always a favourite story of mine when I was a kid.

Why use secatures sacetuers  secondhers ... those things anyway. I bought one of these as it must be easier and vastly less risky to use. I love tech.

I just hope it hasn't put you off @jrs.idx
I use snips for flowerheads, because secateurs are often a bit too hefty for finer stems. Maybe that would be worth trying too?
Don't want you having to get kitted up in armour  ;)
I just remembered I once took a chunk out of a finger with a leccy hedge trimmer, when I was doing my Dad's hedging. Had to strap it all up with gaffer tape and cotton wool. Bled like bu**ery!  :D
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
