Slug ID!

    The FSC guide says they're found in most habitats including gardens and allotments. The Spanish slug shouldn't have a contrasting fringe colour but they do sometimes hybridise so I don't know if that would change the look.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Ok. Found another one. @wild edges

    This one is nowhere near as big and is a lot darker. 

    They seem to like the decking…..

    Can you flip it over and get a photo of the underside? Spanish slugs are usually darker underneath but red slugs have a foot that is the same shade or lighter as the top. The Spanish slug should have a dark ring inside the breathing pore too which this one doesn't seem to have.

    I found a VW too so squishing that made me feel a bit better about the monster slugs under my decking
