    Got mine from here ...

    https://www.macplants.co.uk/Filipendula-ulmaria-Aurea

Just an hours drive for me  .... I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop when I go there

Too far for you to visit .... but they do mail order.

Their plants are always well grown, and I think £5 for a 1L pot is good value.

We bought Filipendula ulmaria aurea many years ago.
I love the golden /acid yellow leaves.
We were advised to cut the flowers off to stop it seeding .

It is very happy in damp/wet soil.

Thanks for that link @Bee witched. Good prices right enough.
Not too far really -  so I might take a drive out there one day if the nursery I normally use doesn't have any. I do much longer journeys for hills - could even fit in some of the Pentlands on the way back   ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I think @punkdoc has bought plants from them .... so might be worth checking if he's happy with what he bought.

I usually do a click and collect  ....  so I can be sure of getting the things I'm after.
But that doesn't stop me having a good nosey around and finding room in the boot for a few extras.

  • Thank you to everybody who replied. Googled Filipendula and yes, it does look like that. I'll try and dig it out.  B)
