Not strictly a close-up of a flower, but still a close-up pic of a plant. What might it be? (No prizes given ).
Thanks to all who tried to guess this mysterious foliage. It belongs to a specimen of Saxifraga fortunei var. incisolobata ‘Shiratama’, this is what it looks in flower (in late October-early November):
One of the indoor plants that we inherited more than 21 years ago, when we moved to our present house. The previous owners just left them behind. I have no idea what it is, but water it faithfully every Monday morning.
It's Jasmine Off. With a hosta underneath. It's growing between the slabs on the patio, fortunately in just the right place. There must be soil under the slabs because it's pretty vigorous.
