Roses.. and there so many types of fragrances within this family.. I could never resist having a sniff at a rose whenever I encounter one.. obviously don’t bother with those useless scentless supermarket ones..
Lavender is nice but you have to get up close to pick up the scent..
Sweet peas have strong scent but I can’t say it’s my favourite.. and all sweet peas smell the same, just varying degrees of it.. I do love the flowers and the fact they bloom so abundantly though.
Some varieties of daffodils can be highly fragrant.. Thalia for example
Possibly a bit odd but my favourite is probably Pyracantha. It doesn't flower for that long, but when it does it just completely blankets the air around it with a really wonderful smell. Kind of hard to describe really, just oddly relaxing, sweet smell.
Phlox has quite a strong scent as well, but personally I'm a bit back and forth on whether it's nice or sickly.
All the above, plus, lilies, lily of the valley, lemon verbena, scented leaved perlagoniums, broad beans in flower on a warm summers evening, bearded iris, jasmine, sweet william, peonies.
