Are the stems square in cross-section?

Could it be Agastache? Leaves had some fragrance when crushed.

If the seller has sent wrong plants, shouldnt  they offer refund? I have received a response which surprised me.

What do they smell of? Some agastache smell of liquorice and some of mint.
Where did you buy it? It certainly isn't an aster, so yes - you're entitled to a replacement or refund.

It smells a bit like anise. may be more like mint than liquorice. Anyway, i needed aster for the border and these i would have to give away. I would like to know what these are  before giving away. I can pot up and wait for flower.

Yes I am surprised to hear no refund/replacement as response. I have sent again email and tried to explain, that it isnt my mistake. I would wait till i receive next reply before saying supplier name.

If what they sent isn't what you ordered, it's their (or their supplier's) mistake and they should give a refund, or a replacement if they still have it in stock. I've had no problems even with a seller that has been knocked a bit on here, even months later when it turned out that the hardy geraniums weren't the variety that I'd ordered.

    It is https://southeasternhorticultural.co.uk/
They are completely refusing to refund or replace. They are not even agreeing that it is wrong plant.
