Too much nitrogen produces a lot of leaves and no flowers.

Some varieties just bloom higher up.  I do a random mix of three or four varieties most years..  a few feet of each along the row.. and some years I've ended up with some that bloom about five feet tall.. with more growing.  Others bloom lower, and all different times.  Sort of like successional sowing, but planting everything at the same time.

It’s my first year growing peas I am surprised how they go from flower to pod so quickly. I assume like sweet peas you can expect some repeat flowers when I pick the pods? Mine are around 4 foot with a good smattering of pods forming.

I have a feeling that some of my peas haven't flowered this year or I may have just not noticed, can I ask do may of you have pea moth and if so how do you cover peas 6ft tall?

That depends on the type, short peas designed for early and/or mechnical harvest will not flower again, older varieties may but you will very rarely get a second crop as mildew tends to take the plants before that, I have had tall peas (alderman) manage a second crop but it was a race against the mildew for them to ripen.
