Hi folks,  Hot and cloudy here.  We are picking the boys up from school this afternoon.  Apart from that nothing planned.  I'm not doing any gardening don't want to get hot and dirty before driving to Secondborns'.
That cordial sounds lovely @debs64 have a lovely day at DA
Don't worry about moaning @Ladybird4 I've cornered the market in that activity this year.
    Enjoy your day everyone

    Morning all,

It's been damp and overcast here but is supposed to brighten up this afternoon. Just nipped out for a lap and there is quite a lot of new growth poking up in the bed I sowed 5 days ago (zinnia, cosmos, cornflower and echinacea) :) Could all be weeds but I live in hope ;)

It's small victories at the moment @Songbird-1. The germinating flowers, blueberries, peas and broad beans cheer me up every time I go outside. On the downside, snapped sunflowers :( and the discovery of the latest feline deposits :s

I'd sooner Scotland stayed in the tournament for a while but they don't have a particularly good side. Expectations ought to be pretty low but I've seen so many deluded fans, ex-players, pundits and managers going over the top with how they will fare. They are currently looking a tad foolish as they're losing to the Czech Republic, who are quite an average international side.

Still lovely and sunny here and very hot 🥵 sitting in the shade under the oak tree reading and having a cup of tea.
Sorry @Ladybird4 that was meant  to be you're not a moaner. .. ...had to correct it just then too 🤦🏻‍♀️
You've had a lovely shopping trip @Songbird-1 glad you managed to get something for yourself.  Bet you had a lovely time seeing some of your family.
@Yviestevie have fun with the little ones 🤩

Good afternoon everyone. I have had a busy and productive day in the garden and have discovered muscles I never even knew I had. I spent the early part of the day trying to find a plumber - think I'm sorted - as I need a new outside tap (or possibly just a washer) that won't shoot water out of every orifice - including the correct one every time I turn it on. As silly me had placed my stone trough for my sempervivums under this tap I decided to move it. That meant moving the two large plastic troughs from where I wanted the stone trough to go and tugging them onto the drive next to the house wall. Eventually got that job done. Boy am I glad I never planted it up when I moved it from the side of the GH!
Debs, I hope that your Fiancé and brother have had a super day. I am a bit of a petrol head and would love to do something like that. Note to self: add to bucket list! Did you give in to temptation at DA? I would have done.
Biglad, it sounds like your garden is being very productive at the moment. I saw the result for the Scotland game. Hmmm. I've put on the tennis from Queens but it is really strange watching it with no cheering crowds. It just feels very 'flat'!

You have got your summer wardrobe sorted and what a lovely afternoon you must have had too.
Thank you all for the kind words everyone 💋

Debs, I love the sound of your rhubarb cordial. Is it a secret recipe or can I beg a copy from you please? Could do with some now with a big slug of gin in it.
