    Some whole beetroot had fallen out of my compost bin and I went out the other night to find it coated in slugs. I made mental note that my slugs love beetroot. It might be worth hollowing two halves. They might hide there in the daytime, ready for picking.

    No need to wet the cat biscuits ... the hedgehogs crunch away merrily ... we can hear them as we lie in bed ... their cafeteria is on the terrace below the window ...
