I must be going deaf ... I've never ever noticed the preponderance of 'amazings' from Michaela. Bet I do now tho ..........
Chris is as bad. , along with Zoe Ball, Jamie Oliver and many more . Even more annoying is the stress on the second A , " amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing" Whenever we hear it, we say What was it? Amaaaaaaaaaaaazing. Sometimes we don't even get time to finish that little routine before there's another.
Rarely get to watch it live as have small children, but usually catch up on iPlayer. Find it generally relaxing and cheerful, helped very much by the general enthusiasm the presenters and guests seem to have about whatever they are discussing. Don't much mind if it's relevant to my garden or not.
I hadn't considered Frances as a frontwoman, but thought she was a natural this week, and certainly gives the impression of having the technical knowledge to back up the simpler stuff. Arit did fine too, and the bits with them together worked for me.
Titchmarsh was fine until his sex novels started selling well and his attempt at other telly failed - then his constant brown-nosing of the Royals got on my wick, as does all his makeovers for the needy - they all have a temporary feel to them, like a flower show and I reckon the people would often welcome the cash more. St Geoff of Coir is untouchable as the first ecologically aware T.V. gardener - Toby whatshisname annoyed me just by breathing - I'm sure that some folk would find me the same but I haven't presented G.W. Adam tries hard and of course, has done a bit of professional landscaping and design (but should stay away from diggers!) Monty and Nigel have been by far the best presenters in my humble. As for the ladies, Arit is well down my list, Francis fulfills her remit (just about) enthusiasing over allotments, but praise be that gritmeister Carol has declined. Lovely Rachel could read me a telephone book and I'd be happy but she didn't quite rise to her potential. Beechgrove is a much better programme but as some others have said - I do look forward to GW as the start of the weekend.
I find it odd that so many people here watch GW religiously and then slag it all off in detail. Surely if you don't like it you can then avoid it and leave those who do enjoy it, to do so in peace.
Social media is generally dedicated to attacking things. This forum can offer so much more than that. If you're bored and want something to attack, then I have some hedging that could use some whacking.
