Anyone who thinks that's a cannabis plant has clearly never seen a cannabis plant. Or a photo of one... Or a badly drawn sketch... Or even heard a flipping description of it.
From watching these police programs,I didn't think you could grow cannabis outside, they all seem to be under funny fancy lights, indoors
I think that's mostly so that it can't be seen, because cannabis is very easy to recognise ... unless you're a housing officer looking to find fault with tenants . It would be a bit silly to have a cannabis farm outside where anyone could see it.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
Yeah you can definitely grow it outside! Where I'm from it grows wild (until the police notice and destroy it), hence "ditch weed". It's now legal in my home state and you can grow a certain amount for personal use. My parents' old neighbours had a few plants that were at least 6 feet tall and that was in a desert environment. I think it would be gigantic in the nice wet British climate as long as it was warm enough.
A member of hemp family which was grown to make ropes along with a lot of other things. Incredibly strong fibrous plant matter which grows very quickly. Originally demonised by the paper industry who saw it as a threat to their business due to its rapid growth in comparison to trees. There used to be a pub called the hemp sheath tavern in the village I went to school in. It was a very versatile crop. Still is, many politicians have invested in medical marijuana due to its proven benefits with pain relief and epilepsy treatment amongst many others uses. It's the next boom industry for any investors out there.

I think it's pretty easy to grow outside in UK. I have friends that do it.
