I only got my beans sown yesterday both runner and French, when my father was alive he used to sow some French beans in August for a later crop they always cropped well I tried some late sowings last year and they didn't do too bad.

First cobra are planted, sowed 2nd lot, plus runners, they are up,when you said light, presumably you mean s grow light. We never have enough room to grow in the green houses, apart from cucumbers. That's only because I run out of room on the veg plot.have never tried freezing tomatoes,I make sauces, kechups out of any glut

After six weeks of producing sauces, jams, pickles and such @Nanny Beach 😅 I gave up and bagged whole toms in the freezer. They made great soup in January,  when I had time to do it and the inclination 😆
  • @purplerallim, thank you, I’ve bought Roma seeds, so will try three seeds in the pot for a late crop and check them out. Valerie

Give them plenty of room @valerieroberts as they spread sideways as much as up. They will still need support as they are heavy fleshy plants. They don't need any side shoots removing as they are bush, but will grow 3ft ×3ft. They do ripen almost all together late in the season, hence the September run on making for the freezer.😁
  • @purplerallim, thank you Valerie
