I found this useful,  but it's out of stock at the moment . Sorry for the poor photo.😊

I tried this model to keep out wood pigeons. It failed. I think the top layer needs to be much wider than the bottom. It's only an 8cm gap but they were fine with that. I'll try and fit something over the top but it's boring to still have to be fiddling with chicken wire etc. It's supposed to stop food falling on the floor except the pigeons stand on the side, tip it and shake the seed on the ground where they snaffle it. 🙄

I might try this in the front garden (somehow) where there are less pigeons (until they all fly over).

    I'm trialling three other models.

I use one of these to guard the ground feeder. He's very good at scowling at the pigeons but secretly he's scared of them.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

That's a fine Picture. I love your walls. What are the props propping?

I think I was in the middle of building the fence. That whole area is a mess again at the moment sadly.

Right behind the dog is where the hairy snails have taken up residence. :)

ooo, hairy snails !? Crikey. Your wild life has the best names. Is that how you choose it?
  • @pansyface that's hilarious!
When he works that hard to keep you stimulated, you can't begrudge him some super expensive suety extrusions, surely? They're a genius's favourite!
  • I have a nightmare with Rooks. I don't mind some around the bottom of the feeders hoovering up but soon flocks arrive! They shake the feeders to get the food out for all their mates! I put out a peanut butter bird feeder which got demolished in less than 24 hrs. I end up reverting to just repeatedly scaring them. It's a test of wills! I do get that we should cater for all the birds but it does get a bit expensive when your feeding a mob of crows and squirrels. This is coming from a keen birdwatcher. I've tried all the tricks in the box but it ends up with me just chasing them away! :D
