Asks only come in one size, big.
    Trimmings are always entire, all.
    Twists are modern.
    Wedges only have thin edges.
    Slopes are slippery.

I know you were, it just gets me when people say it.  Doesn’t every meal, throughout the year have ‘trimmings’.
‘With all the trimmings’,  what does that even mean.

Right, so it did end up on your plate then.

A bit like a hairdresser I had once. He used to leave all the trimmings on my shoulders. 😬

I think you may want to rephrase that given your views on pigs-in-blankets. Not a good image...

We like to say all the  'fixins' [fixings] because of lovely Martin Crane in Frasier.  :)

I don't mind the word trimmings though.  ;)

We don't have many of them nowadays. I'm the only one who likes bread and cranberry [home made only] and parsnips, and no one likes sprouts. I can just about cope with pigs in blankets, but I don't care much for stuffing either.

    Snap @Fairygirl.
We also say 'fixins' ... as in pizza with all the fixins.
Loved that programme ... great cast and great writing. Also loved 'Cheers'.

Love sprouts and often have them at times other than Christmas. But as we don't eat any dead things then pigs in blankets etc don't happen here.

Cheers seemed great at the time @Bee witched, but when I saw some episodes a while ago, it seems very dated. Different era though.
Frasier was genius and still is. One of my faves was the episode with Niles ironing. Brilliant  :)

Late to this party but I can't stand at any price "gonna".  It's creeping into everyday language and it's awful.
