Is this a weed?

It has quite fleshy leaves and tiny white\blue flowers on upright stems, it has pretty shallow roots but seems to spread. I think it may have come in with another plant.

    Nope B3 the flowers are minuscule. Also the stems are thicker and less woody than the forget me nots… perhaps a photo together for comparison would help…. I’ll go get one 😍

    Weird plant next to classic forget me not….. by the way hubby thinks I’m mad wandering in and out taking bits off plants for photos 🤪

    It looks like Valerianella locusta/lambs lettuce to me, the wild type not a cultivated version.

    Thanks Skandi, pretty much a weed but with benefits that it’s apparently edible. 

    Probably explains why it smells like lettuce when you pull it out.

    Or alkanet? But the leaves look a bit too long. There's a wild forget me not called Myosotis sylvatica too.  Picture in my wildflower book

    I think I've misunderstood, the second photo is a comparison to normal forget me not. The flowers you are showing are small clusters of almost white. Must be the lettuce thing  :)

    Yes it’s definitely more like the “lettuce thing” …. 🥬
