I feel your frustration. If it were me, l would ring her and ask "What happened ?".
It might (just possibly) be that she has a genuine reason, although in this day and age there isn't really an excuse for not getting in contact somehow.
To be honest, being a nosy person l wouldn't be able to rest until l'd heard what she had to say.
I would then say (politely) that l was very disappointed, l'd expected better from someone who had such good reviews  ;)
There are situations where it's not possible to get in touch immediately but you would hope they would call as soon as possible.  We've just had our conservatory roof replaced and the guy promised he would work over the weekend to complete it.  He didn't show up and I was fuming.  He did eventually call me on the Sunday evening to apologise and explained he'd had a call to an electrical problem on a previous job and didn't have my number in his phone.  We'd done everything by e-mail up to that point and that was all in his office.

Just called her and she had me in the diary for " next Wednesday "  so she will come to the front of my house next week at 5.30 pm.

Thats odd as we agreed the visit on Tuesday !

    No apology offered.

I think next Wednesday I will park up the road and sit in my car from about 5.20 pm and pretend i am on a stake out !!   B)

Give her the chance and then post a full and honest review of your experience.

Another one who was to come in 39 minutes time has just cancelled !!

Its sunny and she is 0.75 miles away !!

     :(
What reason did she give @NewBoy2

I don't live far away but I do combine all work to avoid extra trips.
I am very busy at the moment working 7 days a week both in the garden centre and as a gardener.
If you need someone with more flexibility I may not be the right person?
As I said,  can come on Thurs 6.00 unless you changed your mind.
    Thanks

Im giving her a second chance.

What with No Show coming on Wednesday evening and this one on Thursday evening its getting a bit like Emmerdale.

Oh and the third one said she would email me to see when they can come...........no email yet !

For some time I would leave the house at 6.30 am and get back at 1.00am after driving over 100 miles.

I think some gardeners are getting snowed under with requests from possible new clients at the moment ... a combination of the time of year, plus folk who discovered gardening during lockdown and WAH and now are looking for someone to help them as lockdown is easing and other aspects of life are resuming ... one gardener I know well  ;) is (very understandably) prioritising requests from new customers who want a gardener throughout the year and not just for the spring and summer months.

@NewBoy2, how did things work out in the end ?

Her name is Neneh and ...wait for it....she turned up on time on Thursday and named 3 of the wild flowers I had and did some initial thinking and planning and then went to get some plants.

She is coming again....I hope....tomorrow when we will be discussing what to do.

She doesn't have a mower so the grass in the back garden will be interesting.

I just hope she has a "work ethic " and then all will be well.
