Morning all. A lovely sunny day here but it was white over with snow grains and frost first thing. Seems to be melting quite fast. Hope it does - I was planning on cutting the grass today🤨 - and giving all the new shrubs a water🤨 - not too sure either of those is such a good idea now!

Debs & LB enjoy your trips out.

Chive - hope all your little people are excited to be back to school 🙂

Hello all. Gosh it was lovely in town today (apart from the empty shops). The feeling of 'normality' is going to take some getting used to. People were well behaved and I had to wait a little while outside the phone shop but it was well worth it. They had two advisers in store and only allowed one person per adviser. Very smooth running.
Its turned out glorious here sunshine and blue skies. I might have to open the skylights in the greenhouse roof a smidgeon (Ante - little bit). It is toasty in there now but another cold night is forecast.
T'Bird, my place was similar to yours first thing but its all clear now and dry as a bone. I'd go for the cutting and watering if I were you.

    Afternoon everyone,
Thank you LB, Chive, Debs, and Ruby. Feeling a bit more like me today. Just a bit of a  down day yesterday.
Ruby, glad you're feeling ok, hope the sore arm improves soon.
Woke up to snow this morning, which was quite a shock. But everything looked so pretty. Was snowing quite heavily till just after 12, but it's stopped now and the snow has started to melt. Very chilly out there when went to the bin. 😕
Will watch LOD later LB, I'd like to record all of it and binge watch, but I'm worried about seeing/hearing spoilers on TV.
On the news today they showed masses of people queuing at shopping centres. So many people, 😣😣 can't think of anything worse.
    Have a good day everyone

Afternoon All, 1st day back with slight discotheque ears from the volume of little people, but all is well 😊
Topbird Hopefully you’ve managed to get both those jobs done today cutting the grass and watering.
SGL Glad you’re feeling a bit brighter today, can find some days just make you feel glum for no apparent reason it’s good to hear you’re more yourself now,
Rubee Hope the arm is improving today, don’t go moving any heavy pots in the garden,
LB Good to get your phone sorted, it sounds like a well organised shop. Nice for you to see the sunshine at long last after all the rain you’ve had recently,
Hazel Hope OH got his haircut this afternoon, it’s a nice feeling when you’re up to date with unmentionables feels like you can indulge in something you enjoy doing then 🤗
Have a good rest of the day.

Have I recalled correctly Hazel that you are having your hair cut this week? You won't have to be jealous for too long.
Chive the small people must have been very excited to see all their friends after the Easter break - and you of course
SGL, its good to hear you are feeling more like 'yourself' today.

I've potted on some plants, done a bit of weeding and came in out of the cold. The sun may be shining but its only 7°C which to my hands and back is very chilly.
T'Bird did you get your grass cut and you newly planted shrubs watered? I actually had to water a few pots myself.

Got the grass cut and edged LB but decided not to water the new shrubs today. It's forecast to be below freezing again tonight and I don't want excess water in the soil freezing around the baby roots.

Marginally warmer tomorrow night so I'll water them in the morning which should be fine.

I'm VERY envious that Mr Songbird has had his haircut. Have to wait until the 23rd for mine - it's driving me crazy. Think I've cut OH's 4 times since my last visit to the hairdresser.

Glad to hear town felt a little more like normal LB. Unfortunately there are quite a few empty shops in our town centre - hope the remaining ones make it.

T'Bird, if it makes you feel any better, I have to wait until 27th for my haircut though I have hacked at the fringe several times. It is now shoulder length and some days I think I'll just leave it and other days I just think I'll have it cut short again

I'm signing out for today. There are only 2 Mastermind semifinals on quiz night. My brain can recuperate from the ravages of Only Connect.
See you all tomorrow. I wonder how much frost we will all get - if any.
