  • Hi all, I just got my bay tree order delivered and judging by the contents of this thread T&M never fails to disappoint...
I was amazed to find that the bay leaves  have scale insects on them. Am I right in thinking that I'm completely justified in asking for a refund?
It is not a pest that I've had in my garden before and I really don't want it to infect other plants.

    I’d be absolutely livid!!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • I know, that was my reaction. Then worry... I am worried because I opened the package right next to where I keep  my young plants that I'm hardening off. I would hate to get them infected or any other plant in my garden in fact.

T&M used to be one of the TOPS.  I remember their catalogue was like a gardening encyclopedia.  It now seems that so many gardening outlets are getting adverse comments on todays gardening forums etc.
How many folk actually complain to the supplier.  OK, commenting on forums such as this is one thing.  More often than not, a simple email etc to the firm, and.  No problem, we will send a replacement.  It seems now, that suppliers have stopped getting over involved by questioning your gardening skills.  I find J. Parkers most satisfactory.
