The rules are to ensure that mere mortals do not spread the virus to their betters who must be allowed to continue with their normal lives whatever the cost
...and the lamps (lights) went out all over Europe....
I think the fishermen are starting to see the issues - I bet a few weren't alive during the Cod Wars (why do I have the urge to sing that like the Womack & Womack song?). The Cod Wars, blinkey blimey, that takes me back - I think our one coastal patrol boat (ok, slight exaggeration - one coastal patrol dinghy) will be working overtime nowadays.

Typical. The foreigners are all coming over to use our NHS for their free castle-based eye tests.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Future gripe... All those people who moan after coming back from a holiday abroad where their holiday destination moved from non-red to red while they were enjoying their break. Just thought I'd get that moan in now.
Talking of hail, did you see the Man City/PSG game? They had a hail storm before the game and the pitch was still white beyond half time. What's all that about in May?
good old Brexit eh?Β I hope those who voted for it are proud of themselves?
Nothing wrong there, just the French fishermen and women on the wrong end of the Brexit fiasco so the politicians in France take the chance to play tough for their home audience when the only delay is caused by the French vessels not meeting the requirements of the Brexit agreement as agreed centrally by the EU and governments of eu states. Phew!
Basically the French minister is over reacting to promote themselves to the French electorate. If they actually had any plan to cut off Jersey then they're idiots and legally on a sticky wicket.
Of course your sentiments of stupid idiots voting for Brexit I agree with just don't see that it really applies here. I think Jersey would really hit France hard legally of they cut power over this.
However France have been playing it tough for their constituencies for some time but pragmatism always kicks in at the top. It's always a lower minister holding the aggressive stance in the media. It's starting to make them look prats imho. However when your big threat in presidential elections is the far right party leader you can understandΒ hate the British stances. Even better than the hate the immigrant stance because that's slightly less acceptable to fellow EU nations. Just my view ymmv.

The what game? Oh the one with the wrong shape balls.Β No didn't know anything was happening with the primadonnas of the round ball game. Did anyone win anything?Β
"...alsoΒ ymmv) written abbreviation for your mileage may vary: used, for example on social media and in text messages and emails, to mean that you understand people may have a different opinion or experience to yours: Their first album is better, but of courseΒ YMMV...."Β as explained in Cambs. Eng. Dict.Β
