    Thanks, I'll monitor it again this year to see if it will stop flowering, if not I'll just dig up and separate

    I have a yellow primrose growing by my pond which has not stopped flowering, like yours, even in the snow. Now it is spring it is blooming it's little heart out!  I would replant yours and plant up whatever the shrub is that's growing with it and wait and see what it turns out to be!

    There’s no doubt about the hydrangea.  I wonder if the hydrangea was the gift and the primrose an added bonus?
