Hi all hoping someone can help me identify this plant.  I was given this plant last year I placed it in the partially shaded part in my southwest garden.  Since I potted it has had a continuous bloom of flowers (even in the snow) not that I'm complaining however as I don't know what it is I don't know what I'm meant to do with it....... Any ideas??

    No it's not alone, primula are not woody plants

    Don't Hydrangeas loose their leaves and flowers? Apologies if this is a stupid question I'm a complete flower\plant novice 🙈

    The woody stem is a hydrangea maybe.
    The plant in flower is the primula

    Oh, can it continue to grow like that or does it need to be separated? I just planted as it was given to me 🤷‍♀️

    When the primula has finished flowering and the leaves start to go yellow I usually dig them up, cut them down to a stub, divide them, they come apart easily and replant tucked away somewhere ,
    Then next spring replant where they can be seen
