Sweet pea outgrowing their pot

    You could plant them into pots so that they can grow on for a month or so before planting out, and you can still move them into the greenhouse at nights or if it turns cold again.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    You need to harden them off, but both my gardening mags (including Gardeners World) say plant them now
  • Thank you Jenny and Nanny Beach. I started them of last October and kept them in a cold frame and have opened the lid for a few weeks during the day, they are now planted out so fingers crossed it works. Thank you for your ideas we learn from other people.
