I'm just reading through some of the consultation details now. It doesn't reflect well on the government that several Covid vaccines were rolled out so quickly and yet the cattle vaccine is only hopefully going to be developed within the next five years. It's full of very wishywashy statements regarding targets and deadlines. Given the government is dodging having any legal backup to their promise to reverse natural decline by 2030, and they've already U-turned on the date for the end of the badger cull, I don't have much faith left in any other promised deadline they set.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I’m afraid that not many things these days “reflect well on the government”. There is plenty of scientific evidence available to support the vaccination of badgers but they choose to disregard it. Only Boris Johnson’s girlfriend seemed to be paying attention to the science. I don’t know if her influence has waned or not.

All we can do is let them know that we are watching them and we are not going away.
