Just like the covid vaccine, if you’ve had yours then you can’t catch it. And if you can’t catch it, you can’t pass it on (in the normal way of coughing at least).
So with badgers in Derbyshire. Science has proved that vaccines stop the transmission of bovine TB by badgers. But as with the coronavirus, the government doesn’t want to listen to the science. All they want is to please the voters and get back into power.
So you’ve paid for all the vaccinations, but there are no votes in that. So now they want to exterminate them in order to please the people whose votes they need.
I’ve introduced the topic and provided a link for anybody who wants to help save badgers. Now I shall shuffle off and leave you to your gardening.
(I have badgers in my garden and they do no more damage than my kids. Maybe there’s time to write to the government and ask them to add a footnote about kids.)
Over here, on the continent, wild boar and other creatures such as deer have been emboldened, especially during the first lockdown last spring, to venture further into former human strongholds so there have been photos of deer in Metz, a large industrial town, turtles laying eggs on empty beaches in the south of France........
I saw a photo of a wild boar male swimming in the Atlantic near here, just for fun. Further up the coast, a multi generational family of wild boar took up residence on a large roundabout which has shrubs for cover. They do make a mess.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Only joking.
