I also wouldn't be too worried - if you sow them and you get a decent crop of flowers, you can always save the seed for future years. It isn't always easy to do that, as some are less generous with producing their seed, but in most cases, it's the way to go. I often buy fresh seed, but it depends on the the variety. I avoid her site too, for the prices alone, but if you want quality sweet pea seed, it's better to use renowned growers/producers like Eagle.
