Had to watch this morning as Thursday's recording produced football instead. The young couple's garden on the steep slope was incredible, such hard work but great rewards, and what a beautiful view. Loved the small greenhouse.
When Jim left, Birchgrove went downhill fast, now there are too many presenters with too little time to get their messages across!
Two of them may have high profile jobs but are poor at getting their messages across, George has lost the plot literally, with his radishes and miniature beetroot plants.
Callum is a breath of fresh air, it would be good if he got more air time in future programmes, that is if he wants it!
It is different since Jim left but you have to allow for Covid too. Beedhgove itself has suffered from lack of maintenance during confinements and I do like the way they've shown that. George is stuck in his garden and doing OK IMHO. What he does is achievable for many home gardeners and allotmenteers.
I love the Chris Beardshaw slots but have to admit he's my no 2 gardening hero after GH. What he has to say is always useful and intelligent and do-able.
I find Callum irritating beyond belief but he does, occasionally, have some info of relevance to gardeners not growing show veg and flowers.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Well Brian Cunningham should keep a better eye on his gardeners at Scone Palace. I was there last weekend and on the mount where the stone and Chapel are, the beautifully cut grass hid a hole, into which I trod , twisting my ankle and brusing myself from shoulder to knee! Maybe it's not just the walled garden that needs work!

Been watching it religiously recently and really enjoy it.
Cutting down the spent beans and leaving the roots in the soil seems obvious now they have mentioned it.
