@AnniD Yes, it was that Wednesday (March 16) before I came back from Berlin that - so I was told - it rained all day. And there wasn't not much rain before either.
The entire winter has been on the drier side. I just made it to fill the water-butts with 370l all three together. I should have had around 600l.

    I my garden.

Finally caught an episode of this. The present admitting her chillies hadn't successfully overwintered in her greenhouse? Tree maintenance that had left huge ugly sticky out bits that now needed pruning? The viewer who didn't have a watering can so used a milk bottle?

And the candle under the pot under the pot to keep the frost out of the greenhouse.

    I am totally into this.

I did wonder where Carol's head was at with those chillies.  i have overwintered chillies in the house before but not in a greenhouse.  They need some warmth so I just treated them as a houseplant and they did fine, producing chillies till the next season's plants were ready to take over.

Switched over to Beechgrove just in time to hear a couple of cringeworthy poems from Callum.  Probably the shortest time I have ever spent watching the programme.

Well I thought they were getting back on track tonight,  the bit with George and Callum at the show didn't last long.

If anyone is interested, Carole Baxter will be at Glendoick Garden Centre both days this weekend between 11am and 3pm.

Maybe my timing was unfortunate.  I'll give it another go and mute it when Callum appears.

I must admit l found my attention wandering somewhat. When Callum met George after the judging and said he'd won an enormous amount of prizes l thought he was joking, but there was no "haha, fooled you" that l heard. All the talk was about narcissus etc prior to judging but he showed a hyacinth and corydalis as well l believe?

Calum did really well for his first attempt probably because he is so good at veg growing, when he saw that he had won so many medals he was nearly lost for words now that can't happen much.
