Has anyone been watching lately? Must admit to my attention wandering a bit over the last few episodes, but that might be more my fault, rather than anything to do with the programme 😊.
I thought the experiment in Thursday's prog with trying plants in different places was a good one. When you consider how often people ask on the forum about the site they have something in, or what would suit a particular border, it could be helpful. I've often grown plants perfectly well in a site that isn't technically what they like. The turf prep was good if you're laying a lawn - look at the number of queries we get about that.
The bit with the school kids wasn't particularly of interest to me, but I suppose that's how it is. Horses for courses. There's a lot of G's World that doesn't interest me at all, which is why I stopped watching it altogether for a year or two.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Apart from that boy doing the cuckoo the school section was not good for me but I thought the lawn section was useful and informative and I look forward to seeing how the planting places experiment works.
I thought the sections on filling a new raised bed and moving the hebe were a bit skimped but quite a lot packed in to half and hour.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Stopped watching it...it's just poorly presented and deadly dull. Although I think Carole Baxter is very knowledgeable.
The experiment with same plants but different areas was a good idea, but to go from full sun to wet shade is a big leap, maybe a third of dry shade might have been more useful.
Sadly I have to agree that Beechgrove is generally very poor now. I haven't watched a single episode this year in its entirety. I thought Brian's piece on laying a lawn was overly long and he was seen going against his own advice several times. He said the boards were to avoid walking on the newly levelled surface but is then seen walking all over the place. Is it really necessary, or usual, to create a groove to make the outline and then fill it with sand? I would do one or the other.

I did the same yesterday with Chelsea, first 6 episodes watched and the rest today.
