Could someone explain the reasoning behind Callum's "bending the rules" with the fuschia ?
Just before the show "You rip the top pot away and the judge will be none the wiser".
I have watched it twice and l can't work out what he meant. It has been a long day though, maybe l'm missing something obvious 😊.

He gets double the root space, therefore getting a bigger plant, whilst still sticking within the rules of no pot bigger than 10 inches.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Must admit l enjoyed this week's programme. The lady who had inherited an overgrown garden was doing a very good job considering she admitted she had no clue what most of the plants were.
The geranium "Rosemoor" in the garden at the end is a stunning colour.
Enjoyed George's piece from sunny Joppa, especially the alpine planting.

Liked the new girl on this weeks show could have done without the flower crown segment though, I think that anyone new has to complete a "Blue Peter" type task. The old presenters of Beechgrove would be spinning as Brian seemed to have been having lessons in "Received Pronunciation", something that used to be looked down upon by the old Beechgrove Garden presenters.

I also thought that we don't really need to know how to make a flower crown, I'm sure the time could have been used in a more useful way.

I'd kind of stopped watching Beechgrove over the summer, but I just caught up with the first winter episode, and I have to say I really enjoyed it.  Nice to see some winter gardening for a change
