I’m with gblake. I thought that garden looked dreadful and I cannot believe that the producers could not find something more inspirational. At least that Londoner’s roof garden had a dash of ingenuity though covering the same ground as Kate Bradbury it became somewhat repetitive. Add to the mix the house plants which hold little appeal to me and I really feel it’s time viewers’ videos got the flick.

By contrast I thought the cove growing orchids was a TV natural, enthusiastic and articulate while the vegetable growing couple need to be elevated to the status of national treasures.

Front doors attached to the fence, car tyres... flowers in boots.... ummm no thanks.
No one said it was compulsory ... a canal lake and Emperor Fountain like at Chatsworth isn’t compulsory either ... you probably wouldn’t like my garden ... I might not like yours ... but they’re all gardens and each of us can have a garden in a style that makes us happy. 😊

I'm allowed an opinion, pipe down.

Loved that couple, so positive and very content, wonderful, and the carrots and onions were indeed worthy of any Northern show  :)

In total awe of anyone who gardens in a white t-shirt  :o made me think of Fanny Craddock  :D

I always enjoy the program more when I have had time in the garden myself, never thought of gardening as a 'spectator' sport and seeing others with a trowel when I am shut indoors is frustrating. So tonight it was a total joy to watch.

Loved the old couple!  And who knew that Fritillaria Imperialis were polinated by bluebirds?  They looked glorious and I think I'll definitely be finding a place in the garden for them next year.

I am sure I saw the two elderly couple on Sky news this morning about Gucci approaching them, the gentleman called Gerald .

I was really surprised when Monty said roses only flower for 3-4 weeks.. but we all know that modern roses nowadays repeat flower reliably well into autumn..

Monty grows old species roses which have a short flowering period, he has said this before but didn't last night.

So am I ... mine is different to yours ... I didn’t tell you to ‘pipe down’. 😊

He did say something along the lines of  ‘if you grow shrub roses like me ... four weeks of blooms’.

Austins are shrub roses as well, which as Celcius pointed out, repeat bloom through Autumn 🧐

Opinions are fine but telling someone to ‘pipe down’ is incredibly rude.
