Solanum laxum Alba - dead or just traumatised??!

So I planted these solanum plants last year and they did really well quite soon after planting but ever since the colder weather they seem to have gone really droopy and I think they could’ve died? I know the white variety isn’t as hardy but my courtyard is very sheltered and isn’t in a very exposed position.
Do I wait and see if they recover once the weather picks up or shall I assume they’re dead?
they seem to be healthier at the bottom of the plant than at the ends...
