The best fence paint we ever bought, was I think from B&Q's own brand. It wasn't one of those Cuprinol/Ronseal ones, where they have a very limited colour palette, and are often just thin stains.
We got it mixed in the specific colour we wanted, at B&Q. There were around 1,000 colour options, in every shade you could imagine, and it was thick and opaque, like a really good house paint. If you look for a big DIY store (Homebase, B&Q), etc, which has a paint mixing station, you will often find that you can choose outdoor/masonry paint as your base, and then you select the exact colour you want.
