Re repotting- I'd tip it out of the pot and look at the roots, if there are lots and they're healthy you could pot it on or plant it in its permanent home. If the roots don't look so good Id gently break away some of the compost and repot it with fresh compost back into the original pot and keep it sheltered for a while.
  • If this were mine I'd chop the main stem to below the second green leaf from the top.
Then it can concentrate on new growth not trying to repair the damage.
Keep it frost free if possible.
They are tough plants but I agree checking roots for damage/rot is a good idea.
  • Ps, I have three and they always recover from moving, pruning and frost damage.

Thanks @Bilje and @shane.farrell, will get onto it!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
  • Ps I meant keep it frost free until summer. After that it will be ok.

@shane.farrell once it's trimmed it might fit into the cold frame so I'll pop out in there, otherwise it'll just be a case of tucking it in amongst other plants
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
  • Good enough or just bring overnight into a shed or garage or porch etc. Whatever is easiest 😃
