I think I’ve planted everything deeply as well, maybe that helped. I have seen mice in the garden and I might have lost a few crocuses to them, but they seem to have left the anemones alone.
I have plans for a 'blue' bed next year, anemones were 1st on my list, I might have to double the quantity @B3 , I have awful problems with mice as it is.
Some pics from today, a beautiful warm and sunny day again.
Camellias still going strong.

I saw you had problems with anemones and mice @D0rdogne_Damsel, so do I. I've never been able to grow them in France. I left a bagful ready to plant on the terrace overnight once and they were all eaten by the morning!
I've been loving everyone's bulbs. I have a new garden, no bulbs. Looking forward to a spending spree in autumn.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Am really pleased with the vivid red of these Apeldoorn darwin tulips, with a few mixed Darwin as well Plus the Blueberry ripple have the colours I wanted mixed in with an early queen of the night.
