@Papi Jo no - I hadn't thought to smell them (how sad that I assume that a plant is unscented) and now it's pouring with rain so I suspect I wouldn't be able to anyway? How exciting. Is it a good scent?
A good scent? It will be up to you to decide. ;)
So Papi Jo first I have to say that this flummoxed me. I have been passing the pittosporum frequently for days and sniffing vigorously. Nothing. I have just been out for my early evening patrol and finally I got the scent! So it only does this in the evening??

I can see how it can divide people but I love it. Smells like honey. Just wonderful.

@Camelliad thanks 😊 the honest truth is I loved it myself and a neighbour has a load of self seeded ones so I did a swop for some snowdrops.  I'm hoping they self seed! If not I've got some more seeds as back up!
I can't get over the vibrancy of blue in your picture of forget me not!
