Lovely photo of the cat in the snow my two hate it and look at me in disgust when I open the back door for them. They don’t stay out long!
  • Debs She loves it, it’s a wild 5 minutes of running around, now she is content to rest on my bed for the rest of the day!

That’s a lovely picture of Nel.Our three run out in the snow look horrified and run back in again .
  • Yvie im glad to hear sil is breathing better and back home.   Although I was sorry to read your post.  Hazel enjoy your walk in the snow, all wrapped up.  Enjoy your pie.  Chive I’ve forgotten to turn the oven on before today. :)  Enjoy your meal.  Lily sorry to hear you didn’t have a good night.  Have a restful day.  I went to bed very early laid on my back and it has helped.   LB it’s good that you and Rubee enjoy the quizzes.
  • Aww, what a gorgeous photo of Nell @Chivetalking so cute.  OH feels a bit achy this morning and rather tired. He's actually gone back to bed for awhile, but will be up for lunch😉
Aww @Songbird-1 I love walking in the snow too. It's still snowing here and everything looks so pretty. It can stay for a few weeks, I love it. 🤗
@Yviestevie hope SIL is feeling better this morning.
Rosie glad you had a good night's sleep, its weird how we all take it turns for a sleepless night 🤷🏻‍♀️
    Have a good day everyone
  • Chive lovely picture of your Nel enjoying the snow.  Alfie has ventured out but not for long though.  Lily I hope oh feels better from going back to bed for a while.  I like walking in the snow too.  LB I hope you’re having a good day, love Rebecca

Afternoon everyone.  Some lovely snow piccies out there.  We had a Westie who loved the snow.  One year when it was pretty deep he ran off the terrace onto the garden, the snow had made the terrace and garden look on one level but there were about 4 steps down to the lawn so he just disappeared we had to go out and retrieve him.
Have spoken on the phone with SIL.  He can talk now but is still very breathless.  Hopefully he will continue to recover and we will have no more scares.  Firstborn and Merri are back at school.  Mabel has had a tummy upset so she is staying at home for a couple more days.
We have bright blue skies at the moment and it's snowing, a very odd, if pretty, combination.  Have popped out to post a letter and it was freeeeezzzing.
Stay warm and safe everyone.  Weather man has just said it could be -17 in Scotland tonight.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Afternoon everyone, been for a walk round the neighbourhood not many people about,
Yvie pleased to hear that you have been able to talk to SIL puts your mind at rest, hope he continues to improve now & I hope Mabel is soon better. I love the story of your Westie must have been a surprise to him to drop down into the snow, just as well you saw him go!
Hazel it is nice to walk in the snow such a very satisfying noise when it’s all freshly fallen, any luck with finding a suitable mattress yet? I keep seeing adverts for them but they’re usually the memory foam ones,
RosieBB I’m pleased your back feels better today, Alfie sounds sensible no cold paws for him, good to know I’m not the only one who has tried cooking in a cold oven 😀
SGL I hope OH has improved since this morning,
Hope LB is ok and just busy with her plant delivery today.
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Afties all. Beautiful plants arrived and yes, Debs, they are going into the greenhouse for now until the ground is more accessible. Tell you what, it was freezing outside so if you got your walk in Hazel, all respect to you and your OH. Chive that picture of Nel is just wonderful. Thank you for sharing it, it did make me smile. Good to hear you were able to talk to your SIL Yvie. Lets hope his recovery continues. Your description of the Westie in the snow made me smile too, I'll bet he was surprised. SGL and Hazel I too love walking in deep, fresh snow because it squeaks!
