I still have the Agastache Tango doing well, from the seed I got five years ago from Seedaholic. They even self seeded a little bit, which helps with the inevitable winter losses. The white Geranium [Summer Snow] did a bit too well - very invasive! The Nigellas were lovely too, but they all reverted to the standard blue. They seed everywhere in the path at the side of the house.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Liriodendron ... i had just "assumed" ( I know i know) that seedaholic was uk based until i logged on last week to try order! I too have had good success with flower seeds from them in the past ( one exception being zinnias which really didn't work no matter what i did )
Thanks both. I'd assumed they were UK based too, @Desi_in_London - don't know why...
Might try Agastache here, @Fairygirl , and I love white geraniums. Self-seeding warning noted though. Everything seeds itself madly in this climate, which takes a bit of getting used to... my daughter's friend from Texas, living near her in Galway, is having even more trouble coming to terms with the ability of things to grow. She says in Texas you spend all your time persuading things to survive, whereas in Ireland they grow all over your drive as well as in the borders.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
The 'usual' white geraniums are fine @Liriodendron , but this was different. It wasn't even that great - too much foliage and tiny flowers. I should have known it would be trouble when it germinated so easily! I gathered seed from that Agastache, so I'll see if it does anything in spring when I sow. It's been so hot and dry this summer that I've had lots of plants producing worthwhile seed. Doesn't often happen.
